Hello,
My name is Pia and this is my blog. Welcome! Why did I start this blog? Well, I have been thinking about creating one for quite a while but I haven't been able to pluck up enough courage to do so until now (I mean, all of my thoughts will be displayed here for everyone to see. I'm allowed to be shy...right?) A lot of my friends have begun writing blogs and my urge to start one of my own was itching at the back of my brain. Finally, I thought, "well, if everyone else can do this, so can I!" And so I did.
The first reason I wanted to start a blog is because I LOVE to write. It is the best way in which I communicate and I find it very relaxing and cathartic. As well, most of the writing I do throughout the year is for school (you know, essays and such) and this kind of writing does not allow me the freedom to express myself properly. So, this blog will be my creative outlet, my escape from the monotony that is school.
The second reason I wanted to start a blog is because I LOVE to talk about my hobby: Film!!! I am still only at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the subject, however, I wish to continue learning and fine tuning my knowledge, as my ultimate dream is to one day work within the industry. So I figured I could utilize what little knowledge I have to muse upon the movies I see or want to see, actors, actresses, directors, cinematography, editing, soundtracks, the art of filmaking and cinema in general!
To fuse together my two loves, that is writing and film, well, there could be no better satifaction for me. So to everybody, or nobody, I hope you enjoy this little slice of Pia. I know that I will have a lot of fun, now that I am part of the blogging world. :)

No freedom to express the self properly in school writing? This can't be right.
I think this is exactly the best times to do so. It's one thing when you pour out your views and values to someone with no certain expectations of your work, it's endlessly more daring (and satisfactory) to do so while you should be writing between the lines.
On the other hand I suppose you do want a passing grade seeing as some Profs don't care much for a proper education...

Looking forward to following your blog Pia. You know that I love talking film with you, and I've always been curious what that conversation might sound like without me jumping in with my opinions all the time, so this looks to be my opportunity!
And why did I choose today to drop my first comment on your blog you may ask?
